Jeez. Nasty.
It's a modest motel, but the physical layout is convenient (you can pull your car right up to your room) and it's very convenient to have the small town connections of the nice staff. I owe the car wash staffer a big thank you as well, for arranging the delivery of the license plate.
Someone had recommended this place to me as having a very nice staff, and they sure were right. The owner (I think she was the owner) went out of her way to help me solve a problem with a lost license plate - she helped me phone the car wash 41 miles east where I had lost it, and by the time I awoke late the next morning it had been delivered to her office and she had even phoned the local Ford dealer to arrange for it to be put back on at no charge. This was very helpful since I didn't want to go back - I was bound for California where I live.
It was ok
I always like to stay in mom and pop hotels. The Sage is ok, reasonably priced and the rooms are clean. The bathrooms however are awful. We rented three rooms and each bathroom was equally disgusting.
